Great mic release session, lots of jumps!

Did jumping on concrete...urk. but not much.

Yesterday a single bounce session trying to fix arm positioning. Not too bad

24 Jul 21

Yesterday posted a half decent combo on Instagram. In celebration of jumping the mic release more than once.

Today practised a bit of footwork, and the decided to do swing open and swing cross alternative...this is a good way of jumping consistently to music. Also learning to keep the cross in line, often trip as it's skewiff.

Started taking se supplements for knees and this morning felt pretty good.

Also doing knee exercises and stretches.

So on the whole not too bad...

25 Jul 21

Shredz session 7

Lots of attempts at dubs 🥵

Also did more mic release jumping and side swing open and side swing crosses..

Mic release jumps good to Bad Habits by Ed Sheeran.

Felt good, but ankle is sore after jumping applied cream.

Had supplements
Did stretching exercises am and pm.

Had this a few night ago with other knee. Lasts about 15 seconds after I move it

27 Jul 21

Jump diary 11 to 18 Jul 21

11 Jul 21

Start of jump diary!

Since jumping start in Oct, my footwork is still terrible and can't double unders.

Jump continuously for about 15 seconds.

Anything other than single bounce is a major effort. Although today high knees alternate were easier. Side to side ok. The shuffle also a bit better.

Dubs. Just a little bit higher in the bounding. Afraid to jar my ankles and knees.

Shredz Day 5 - core workout was footwork - dubs and shuffles I couldn't do, but tried without rope.

Then
Practised jumpropejenn wrap - basically an EB toad with wrap.

Managed to do it in the end left and right. To get to the catch and untwist stage.

Feel a bit achey round the right ankle, like a sprain. 😑

13 Jul 21
Yesterday

Alternate step came easily?! Teaching Claire to skip

Also did a lot of mic releases and whacked the middle finger

Today followed 14 day Shredz

More alternate step and other footwork. A-step was good.

Aching afterwards. Got new rope from Sammy and rejigged the colours. Gonna make that my short rope ☺️

14 Jul 21
Today's low impact no jump practice.

A few lukie wraps and the Derek's leg push.

15 Jul 21

Yesterday tried to do Shredz but didn't succeed.

Today went downstairs to do non impact stuff.

Working on mamba

Finally got a great flow going, side swing then mic release on each side. Finally catching them properly because the rope is taughter.

Ankle a bit sore...so NO jumping. Will see how I am tomorrow...

Pfaff

Hello there

I'm musing about writing more on my blogs but don't know which to use. I currently write regularly to Zafu Lolly www.zafulolly.blogspot.co.uk but I'm not quite sure that's enough.

There is a lot more to life than meditation, considering I only do it for around 45 mins a day. However, apparently I am supposed to be mindful 24/7 but that is proving to be a task and a half. I'm looking longingly at these fried broad beans but have just had to dash to the loo for an evac which I believe has been caused by over-consumption.

Anyhoo, the view is pretty good up here, but now I must return to the task at hand. Until another time.

Hello again, maybe?

Time flies when you're golfing! Can't believe I haven't posted for so long. Well what's happened? Several contracts later, a stint in Wales where I got to play a Welsh course...Peterstone Lakes. Was very nice.

Been away to Thorney Park, came back to the Drift. Handicap will be officially 18.8 in the New Year.

Well at least it's got the right number at the front!

Quite a busy successful year, won three trophies and a charity day...

Had a period of injury in January so was a bit dire. But now the shoulder is ok unless I go a bit mad and hit 300 balls in an evening.....now the knee is a little unstable but having regular physio which has got me through the summer.

Winter golf is tough, it's easier to carry but tiring.

Ok hello again, maybe?

Look after your golf balls...

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles roll
ed into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.. The students responded with a unanimous ‘yes.’

The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed..

‘Now,’ said the professor as the laughter subsided, ‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things—-your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions—-and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.. The sand is everything else—-the small stuff.

‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ he continued, ‘there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and mow the lawn.

Take care of the golf balls first—-the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The professor smiled and said, ‘I’m glad you asked.’ The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of Beers with a friend.

Gym seshes for now!
