Shake shake shake yer body!

Well it's a few weeks on and so far I've done 3 training walks with my training partner - so far so good! Last two weeks did 6. 5 miles. Last Sunday played golf in the howling wind, then walked as well so a bit knackered to say the least!

Have been walking at lunch time through out to the week and also adding a walk in the evening to a tube stop down the line. Tonight walked from office to King's Cross - not bad - 45 mins. This Friday will walk to Piccadilly and see if I can up the pace.

Feeling fairly feisty, no flu/cough, so on on!

First training sesh over!

Walked round the park with the lovely A. yesterday. Apparently we did 4 miles. Ok was feeling some aches and pains because I had played golf on Saturday and also just before the walk on Sunday...but I did win the medal! So next week, the same again but we will be doing 5 miles straight off....Tomorrow trying me new trainers...hopefully won't put my colleague off...

Could I be back again for more? Walk the Walk!

Yes indeed, I'm back for more torture - 26.2 mile of marathon...walking this time. Just got my place in the Moonwalk this afternoon. And just re-read some of my marathon blog ohhhhhh dear...well this time I'm starting 6 weeks earlier and it is walking, so hopefully I won't get laryngitis just before....

Hormonal weather!

30 mins ago it was sunny with white fluffy clouds and now it's grey and miserable! In another hour it will be clear and so the cycle continues.

Ever since I started playing golf I avidly scour the weather sites to check out the weather for Sunbury- grey cloud symbol with 2 drops of rain - what the? Chance of precipitation...30% But I've realised that the forecast is really only an educated guess.... which is why I played golf in the blazing sunshine when everyone was in their living rooms having noted the weather....but sure enough after an hour, the course was busier...

So I did I get the best of the weather this morning? possibly!

mmmm Blackcurrant addiction

I think I may have finally rid myself of the Rock's Blackcurrant Cordial addiction that I have had for the last few months! Ohhhh how I resisted and didn't drink much water at the office because I didn't have the bottle there...mmm mm nnnufffffnnhhhhhhhhhaaaaarrhg.

Anyway, I do have a bottle (or two) at home, but have been able to restrict to after a long round of golf or at meal-times.

mmm water tastes so good (not).

What a lonnnnng shot!

Am still loving my new King Cobra driver!

This morning, I mishit my first teeshot on the 6th, so I have been allowing myself to take a second shot if the first one goes awol. Anyway, the second shot PURRRRFECT. It was so long that it had only just landed as I was putting my club away...hmmm possibly I should stand in the followthrough position until it lands and enjoy the long borrring shot.

The technology is definitely wow, plus thanks to this very useful article about using the oversized driver!
